Thriller In The Desert
Any questions that remained on wether Mikael Boedker would be able to preform at the NHL level were answered earlier today. Not only did the younster score the shootout winner in a 6-5 win over the Buffalo Sabres, but he also tallied his first career hat trick and added two assists. Bodekers linemates were no slouches either as Olli Jokinen chiped in with a goal and three assists and newly aquired right winger Blake Wheeler picked up two helpers. The last coyotes goal was scored by 2nd year forward Peter Mueller. The defense, penalty kill and goaltending did not look as sharp as it did in game one but Al Montoya did enough to claim his 2nd victory of the season. The Coyotes now try to defend their undefeated record later this week when they welcome the Colorado Avalanche to the desert.
